Explore the National Parks

Go on a hiking trip to Rocky Mountain National Park or Mesa Verde National Park to see some of the country’s most breathtaking views and wildlife. The United States of America is home to both of these national parks and more.

Rocky Mountain National Park

The park, located in northern Colorado, covers the continental divide with protected mountains and forests with alpine grasslands. Recommended to see: Trail Ridge Road Old Fall River Road Route "Keyhole" Pico Longs Bear Lake Area: 265,4 acres (1,074 km2)

Mesa Verde National Park

The park, located in southwest Colorado, It is known for its well-preserved ancestral Pueblo rock dwellings, in particular the huge Palace of the Cliffs. Recommended to see: Chapin Mesa Archeological Museum Mesa Top Loop Road Sun Point skyline Petroglyph Point Trail Area: 51.8 acres (210.4 km2)

Great Sand Dunes National Park

The park, located in southern Colorado, It's known for huge dunes like the towering Star Dune, and for the seasonal Medano Creek and beach created at the base of the dunes. Recommended to see: Medano Pass Primitive Road Star Dune Road Medano Pass Sangre de Cristo canyon Lake Medano Area: 149 acres (603 km²)

Rafting and Kayaking

In that order, rafting and kayaking are exhilarating water sports that can be enjoyed on the Colorado, Arkansas, and Clear Creek rivers. Clear Creek is also an excellent place to go whitewater tubing. There are a variety of pursuits available, some of which are suitable for inexperienced explorers while others are more suited to those with a wealth of prior experience.
